The Triangle Regional Association hosted the seventh Tiger Trivia Hour on December 14. The contest included a former headmaster and first lady and at least one current parent, past parent, current student, and alumnus from six different decades. Here is a screenshot of all of the competitors.
We were particularly honored by the participation of several Woodberry icons, including Dennis and Leesa Campbell, former headmaster and first lady of Woodberry, who hired and graduated many of the participants in the event. We were also honored to be joined by four legendary alumni--Bob Yowell ’54, Tom Kenan ’55, Francis Bagbey ’68, and Lee Smith ’69.
Jason Slade ’90 won and advanced to the Tiger Trivia World Cup in the spring of 2021. Jason will receive a Moubray, a bottle of Roadkill, and three other awesome prizes of his choice from our list (see the list at right). Kudos to John Purrington ’86 and Boyd Davis ’05 for their second- and third-place finishes. John won two prizes of his choice, and Boyd won a prize of his choice.
Congratulations also to Frank Nelms ’01, the team of Carter McCall ’23 and his dad, Craig, and John Nabors, father of Chris Nabors ’24,for winning the Paul Huber Special prizes, a choice of Moubray Wear or Roadkill. In fact, John won two Huber Specials.
