Athletics at Woodberry

Athletic excellence is a tradition at Woodberry. There’s a sport, and the right level of competition, for everyone. We encourage each boy to compete on a wide range of teams, though there are also chances for students with particular gifts to receive extra training in a specific sport. Your teammates will become some of your closest friends as you work side-by-side to build a successful season.

Woodberry’s coaches are dedicated to helping you improve your personal growth as a student, whether you’re a college prospect or playing your first season. These are the same men and women who teach you in the classroom, and they are devoted to getting to know your strengths and helping you do more than you thought was possible. Win or lose, athletics at Woodberry, an all-boys, all-boarding school in the Mid Atlantic, is all about character development, with a focus on grace and humility.
