Woodberry in Britain Immerses Boys in British Culture

A half-dozen Woodberry students are immersing themselves in British culture this summer as part of Woodberry Forest in Britain 2015. The boys and their teachers, Woodberry English instructor Ben Hale and Collier Connell ’12, arrived on July 6, 2015, and are in the midst of a three-week stay at Brasenose College in the heart of Oxford.

"Our watchword is 'Pay attention!'" Ben says of the course which involves observing, reading, and writing. "We are learning how to be present to what is in front of us, to pay sustained attention to the details, and later to pay attention to the words and images we use to capture those experiences."
