Community Service at Woodberry

As a graduation requirement, Woodberry students must complete 60 hours of community service while they are in school. Thirty of the 60 hours must be contact hours, earned working directly with people. Many graduates complete the community service requirement at home during the summers or during vacations. But, there are also many opportunities to serve others while at school. Jay Gnanadoss coordinates the community service program and organizes student involvement in local activities. This fall Mr. Gnanadoss helped students work on Habitat for Humanity projects. This winter there are other projects available on Tuesday and Fridays that include the following.
