Paul Kronenfeld, a sixth former and prefect at Woodberry, has verbally accepted an athletic scholarship to attend school and play baseball at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA, for the 2010-2011 year.
Paul, a two-time Virginia All-Prep League player, was a member of the league’s All-State team in 2009. An outfielder, he holds a .438 batting average, hitting 7 home runs and earning 53 RBIs during his two seasons at Woodberry. This past summer, he participated in the East Coast Professional Showcase in Lakeland, FL, as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks team, and in the Area Code Games in Long Beach, CA, as a member of the Oakland Athletics team. He has been invited to participate in the Perfect Game World Wood Bat Championship in Jupiter, FL, later this month. Kronenfeld plays summer baseball with the North Carolina Baseball Academy’s Golden Spikes in Greensboro.
