The 2024-2025 swim season is winding down as the team just competed in the Virginia Prep League Championship meet yesterday at St. Catherine's School.

A few highlights from the meet:

The boys' 200  B medley relay (Flynn Jeffcoat, James Bowles, Hann Zheng and Tianyi Liu)- needed to qualify their relay (which has actually already been done, but by state entry rules, a swimmer must have swum on a state qualifying relay in order swim in that relay if they have only the Bonus 50 free cut - which applied to our swimmer Tianyi Liu). Not only did they qualify, but they shaved off seven seconds in the process!

A shout out to Flynn Jeffcoat who has been chasing those state cuts all season and qualified to swim in the 50 Free Bonus race at states! As well as to Josiah Saran for an amazing relay leg in the 200 free relay, which will allow him to attend the last chance swim meet on Thursday.

Please see attached results and team scores to note other accomplishments.

Each swimmer saw at least one seasonal PR at the meet - even those swimmers who were not rested. This is an amazing feat, which shows the boys that all their hard work in the pool has paid off.

And finally congratulations to Rawlings Leachman who tied with STAB swimmer, Will Browne, for Most Valuable Swimmer at the meet. Rawlings won the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke.  With these accolades, Rawlings earns our Recognition of Swimmer of the Meet for our team.
