Woodberry Forest School Celebrates its Loyal Alumni and their Support for our Mission of Educating Boys During A Week For Woodberry

The week-long celebration of the school and the Amici Fund’s support of its people and programs grew out of a challenge from Bill Caler ’63, the late Walter Craigie ’48, and a small group of young alumni. Together, Bill and the other challenge donors wanted to encourage alumni to increase their gifts to the Amici Fund while also creating awareness around how your gift supports the people and programs of Woodberry Forest. The challenge is simple: If 900 alumni increased their gift by 5 percent, Bill and the other donors would give an additional $150,000 to Woodberry.
Throughout the week we will be posting videos at A Week For Woodberry’s website and on social media to spotlight each area of the Amici Fund’s impact on the school today. You’ll have a chance to hear from students, faculty, and alumni about financial aid, arts, athletics, academics, faculty support, and the honor system.

With the momentum and enthusiasm you’ve created, we’re gaining speed and you can follow our progress, day by day, as we make history once again with your support and continue forward with A Week for Woodberry.

We are also enjoying some friendly competition between Woodberry classes. The class in each decade with the most participants will win customized Woodberry Forest Moubray wear, a prominent feature in the upcoming Annual Report, and the knowledge that your class exceeded all others in the decade.

Remember, your 5 percent allows us to make all areas of the Woodberry experience stronger.

A Week For Woodberry runs through April 1 at 5:00 p.m. EST. You can make a gift online. You’ll also find information about the donors and the Amici Fund at A Week For Woodberry’s website.
