Fellowship Recipients Selected

The inaugural recipients of the Joe & Marge Grills Fellowship are Davis Cornett ’15 and Caleb Rogers ’16. They have been selected by a committee of Woodberry Forest School history teachers to receive financial support for summer internships with state government officials.

Caleb will serve internships with Justice Elizabeth McClanahan of the Virginia Supreme Court and Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia, and Davis will work as an intern for Governor Steve Beshear in his home state of Kentucky.

The Joe & Marge Grills Fellowship supports student summer work in any area of national, state, or local government, or in public history venues such as museums or national historic sites. The donors, Joe and Marge Grills of Rapidan, Virginia, have a deep interest in government and the American Constitution. Joe Grills has been a member of Woodberry Forest School's board of trustees since 2007.
