Live from Woodberry, An Action-Packed Weekend

The weekend of October 14-16 was particularly epic. Beautiful weather and the arrival of fall colors on the campus trees greeted parents arriving for Fifth- and Sixth-Form Parents’ Weekend.

It was also a great weekend for Tiger sports. Cross country started things off with a home race. Sixth former Taylor Myers took the individual win, and the team finished second in a four-team race. After a Friday evening Pep Rally brought boys together in Tiger Square to celebrate the upcoming football and soccer games, as well as our home mountain biking race, Tiger teams hit the fields on Saturday in front of big crowds.

Varsity football smashed St. Chris 27-6 and improved to 5-1 on the season, varsity soccer routed FUMA 11-0 and now stands at 8-2, and mountain biking hosted 700 riders from around Virginia, with standout rides from third formers Pearce Fowler and Nathaniel Brewster.

There’s still time to catch our fall teams in action, either at home or in a road game near you. You can find team schedules here.
